Vorhersagen sind notwendig, aber unmöglich

Abstract

In this talk I will explain why forecasting is impossible but necessary. I will then show a number of predictions made by various people (including myself) mainly concerning computer science, and how far off target many of those predictions have been. Finally, I will be brave enough to make one rather dramatic prediction about the future quite a few years from now based on what I believe is a rather intriguing observation.
